Sustainability – A matter of the heart

As a family-run group, we feel a strong responsibility to ensure that our businesses operate in a morally and legally correct manner.

Transparency in our value chain

Our production facilities abroad undergo regular independent social compliance audits.  Furthermore, they are all OEKO-TEX, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and GRS (Global Recycling Standard) certified. More and more of our raw materials are made from recycled material.

Promotion of renewable energy

Part of our energy needs is covered by photovoltaic panels on the roofs of our production facilities and office buildings. Thanks to investments in new windows, improved insulation and district heating, we are massively optimizing the energy balance at our headquarters in St.Gallen in 2023.

Sustainable dyeing with Colorifix

Designed as a long-term lighthouse project to shift from conventional textile dyeing based on fossil fuels and chemicals to sustainable dyeing, we have entered into an exclusive global partnership for embroidery dyeing with the British biotech company Colorifix.. Colorifix's microbiology-based dyeing enable water savings of around 80 percent, use around 50 percent less energy and do not produce any toxic waste. Production start at our Forster Rohner Ilidza d.o.o. plant is scheduled for 2024.
